ENGINEERED BRIDGE DISMANTLING PLANS

Engineered bridge dismantling is our specialty. We have a proven track record in the complete or partial removal of steel, concrete and timber structures in the most challenging and congested environments. In addition to our technical expertise, our experience with rivet removal, abatement of hazardous materials, heavy lifting and rigging, design of protective covers and containment systems and design of temporary supports can be a particular advantage on bridge dismantling projects.

Engineered Bridge Erection Plans

ENGINEERED BRIDGE ERECTION PLANS

We provide clear erection plans that enable our clients to plan crane locations, material staging and work sequences in an effective manner. Our experience includes heavy derrick barge lifts, strand jack lifting and lowering, sliding and skidding schemes, jacking systems and conventional crane erection. We have planned the erection of numerous types of structures including trusses, straight and curved steel plate girders, steel and concrete tub girders, long bulb tee girders, concrete box girders and steel retrofit components.

Falsework Design

FALSEWORK DESIGN

We are experienced with conventional concrete box girder falsework, bridge deck and overhang falsework and various unique falsework arrangements. We specialize in finding alternative solutions when conventional vertical ground-supported systems are not feasible.

Access Systems and Protective Cover Systems

ACCESS SYSTEMS AND PROTECTIVE COVER SYSTEMS

We strive to provide access and protective cover systems that not only promote a safe workplace but also enhance your workers‚ productivity. We are experienced in scaffold systems, custom steel and timber platforms, modular platforms and traveling systems.

Jacking and Temporary Support Systems

JACKING AND TEMPORARY SUPPORT SYSTEMS

Whether you are raising, lowering or sliding a structure, we can provide an effective plan to coordinate a hydraulic jacking system and the temporary supporting elements. We have extensive experience with bridge jacking for bearing replacements.

Rebar Cage Hoisting and Stability

REBAR CAGE HOISTING AND STABILITY

We have developed a process for analyzing caisson and wall reinforcement cages for hoisting and in-place stability. Appropriate pick points and rigging configurations are designed to ensure safe hoisting without damage to the rebar cage. After the cage is hoisted and positioned, we are able to analyze rebar cages for stability under environmental, construction and personnel loads and design temporary bracing as necessary prior to concrete being poured.
